ABOUT ME

 My name is Sandra Hernández. I'm Spanish, from the Canary Islands, and I've loved to draw since I was a child. I never took it very seriously until I had to take care of my pets on my own. Currently, I have a dog, four of my own cats, and a foster cat.

My drawing style was defined by anime, specifically "Saint Seiya." I like designing heroic fantasy characters. As a child, I started drawing characters in a style that could be considered furry, inspired by Disney's "Robin Hood" and the series "Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds," and over time I gradually anthropomorphized them more and more until they became human. I wouldn't mind drawing a furry character again in the future.

I also like to draw cats. I was better at it in the traditional style, more realistic, because the pencil made things easier, something I haven't yet managed to achieve with Photoshop, but currently, I find it very difficult to go back to the old style.

I don't have a tablet, but I would love to have one in the future. I'm using a rather outdated version of Photoshop, version 7.0, so I don't have all the tools I'd like from current versions. I've tried updating to the latest version, but my computer's memory can't handle it, so I have to make do with what I have. That, combined with my slow drawing speed, means it takes me a lot of time and effort to finish an illustration.

Soy Sandra Hernández, española, de Canarias, y desde niña me gusta dibujar. Nunca me lo había tomado muy en serio hasta que me tocó mantener yo sola a mis mascotas. Actualmente tengo una perra, cuatro gatos propios y una gata en acogida.

Mi estilo de dibujo lo definió el anime, concretamente "Saint Seiya". Me gusta diseñar personajes de fantasía heroica. De niña empecé dibujando personajes en un estilo que podría considerarse furry, inspirada por el "Robin Hood" de Disney y la serie "D'Artacan y los tres mosqueperros", y con el paso del tiempo los fui antropomorfizando cada vez más hasta convertirlos en humanos. No me disgustaría volver a dibujar algún personaje furry en un futuro. 

También me gusta dibujar gatos. Al estilo tradicional me salían mejor, más realistas, porque el lápiz me facilitaba las cosas, algo que aún no he logrado conseguir con Photoshop, pero actualmente me cuesta mucho volver al viejo estilo.

No tengo tableta, pero me encantaría tenerla en un futuro. Uso un Photoshop bastante obsoleto, la versión 7.0, por lo cual no cuento con todas las herramientas que me gustaría utilizar de las versiones actuales. He intentado actualizarlo a la última versión, pero la memoria de mi ordenador no lo soporta, así que debo conformarme con lo que tengo. Eso, unido a lo lenta que soy dibujando, hace que emplee mucho tiempo y esfuerzo en tener lista una ilustración.
